Lived this series. A tattoo shop is run by a man who sees the best in people and folds them into their chosen family at the shop. Everyone has some background issues, some physical, some not seen by the naked eye but they find who is going to grab their heart and squeeze.Love how this series shows the love the men have for thier chosen man and that the sex is hot but does not rule the story. The disabilities are also dealt with in the same way, it is described well what the disability would mean in a relationship during everyday issues and sex but again it becomes part of the story and not a description of what would need to happen. This chosen is family is strong and they will stand up for each other and be there for each other always. Really could not pick a favorite as there are parts of every story that makes you think Wow that was just Wow! Anyway enjoy the read. Some of the characters back story is told and some of it violent and some neglect but it is who that person becomes because of their background that makes this story. This box set was so fantastic. I recently started reading books by E.M. Lindsey and I've been hooked ever since. They definitely have a way of story telling. What I love most about this box set is all the characters are a little broken and imperfect but they still find happiness. They still can find and have love they can have a family and wonderful friends. The characters in this series are realistic and relatable. Broken but still beautiful. These characters have health issues. They don't let that hold them back though. They work hard and push through pain and anguish, and yes they are a bit stubborn and sometimes if they just communicated better, some things could've been avoided but that's life.Derek and Basil were great. I loved the fact that Basil saw Derek in distress in that ATM machine and jumped in to help. The octopus (Kevin) was great. I liked that idea of Derek having crafted something so important and unique and Basil bought it. I'm glad both of these guys were able to get together. Basil eventually trusted Derek and the guys to not make him be someone he wasn't. Can I just say that I really, really dislike Basil's ex? Along with Derek and Sage's dad. I despise both of those people.Sage and Will's story was great to read, although truth be told all of these stories were great to read. I appreciated the give and take with these guys. I loved Will and his little sister. His sister was angry at first but then she warmed up to Will. There are not a lot of people who have the courage to follow their dreams. Will wanted to open up his own cafe and after a lot of hard work and hardships he succeeded. I wanted to shake Sage though... I understood what he was going through and I also understand that Will could've been more patient but Sage was kind of unintentionally leading Will on in a way. I'm glad things worked out in the end.Sam and Niko were also yet again, great. I felt for all of these characters but these tugged me a bit more. Niko had his one dream ripped away from him due to faulty manufacturing. As for Sam he lost his legs in a nasty car accident when his old friend got too drunk. They had a push and pull of a relationship. Sam needed a good shaking though. He hurt poor Niko.. In front of their friends no less. He is very lucky Niko chose to forgive him. I don't think I've ever had authentic Greek food so the concept of Niko's restaurant is pretty great. I'm glad he was able to achieve that goal.James is a hoot of a character! He is a very strong personality and a very lovable friend. He doesn't show it that frequently at least not in ways people expect. He cares and protects fiercely for his friends. Everyone assumes he sleeps around a lot but in actuality he has never been with anyone before. After a guy got way too handsy and forceful at a bar Rowan made sure to put a stop to that quick! After that things kind of sped along for them in a way. They both thought they were only ever going to be a fling but feeling got involved on both sides. After Rowan left to go take care of his mother.. A lot of heemming and hawing later James got on a plane and was there for his man, and they made it work.Mat and Wyatt was really profound. I could relate to both of these characters in some ways. My vision is pretty horrible if I don't have my prescription glasses on I can't see hardly anything. I know that's not the same as being blind but I also understand that frustration of wishing your eyesight was just a bit better. Or at the very least for it to stop deteriorating. Mat is relatable because my brain doesn't always cooperate right. So.. I understand the frustrations in that too. I appreciate these characters are relatable they make you feel things. I dislike Wyatt and Mat's family... I mean, how can you support the man who tried to frame your own son for a crime he committed?? It just blows my mind.... As for Mat's wife... Obviously he was better off without her. I just have no idea how someone can vow to love you forever and then run when things get difficult it blows my mind.Amit and Miguel were quaint and sweet. This is a couple who definitely needed better communication. They almost lost each other because they didn't talk to each other. Miguel made such a difficult choice in signing away his rights for his daughter, but he made the right one. As for Amit.. He was sweet and afraid. He was so scared to be himself it was heartbreaking. When he finally let him be himself though.. it was so amazing! Miguel just took it in stride and loved him even more for it. The dynamic in their relationship was so sweet and meaningful. Miguel supported Amit with his whole heart and likewise with Amit. All of these characters were raw and broken and caring, loving, emotional, talented and supportive. That's what I loved the most. They just all had each other's back no matter what! They all got their well deserved happily ever after! They all earned it.
